Information
General Motors and OnStar support the Girl Scouts of the USA to build up the next generation of women in STEAM. The partnership continues to engage Girl Scouts in STEAM activities, STEAM badge opportunities, and STEAM career exploration. OnStar has hosted successful events for the Girl Scouts including a Next Gen Tech Lab to earn automotive badges and a STEAM Career Panel event back in January.
We are excited to announce this partnership will continue at the 58th National Council Session and Girl Scouts Unite event in July! GM and OnStar will celebrate this year’s theme, “Girls Make History” with an interactive booth followed by an interview with Stacy Lynett, vice president of information technology at General Motors. It’s a great opportunity for Girl Scouts to connect and get inspired about STEAM!
Together, our work inspires and prepares Girl Scouts for related careers, reduces economic inequalities, and creates a lasting difference. As GM and OnStar work to transform the automotive industry and our world, together we can unlock new and creative ideas that will drive the evolution of self-driving vehicles, shared mobility, electrification, and concepts yet to be imagined. This is why GM and OnStar invest in STEAM education and organizations like Girl Scouts of the USA – to foster the next generation of female leaders bound to change the world as we know it.
